A BIT ABOUT ME

So, I'm 69 and life is good.  In fact, with the exception of one sad, horrible thing that happened seven years ago, my life is fantastic.  I have a great partner, Sheila, whom I have had the pleasure of living with for more than 27 years.  I am the owner of a couple of small, but very successful businesses.  My health is good and I wake up every day pretty much happy with where I'm at.

Sheila is the CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities.   She is in charge of running an incredible organization that helps more than 6 million children, every year, all over the world, to stay close to their families while they are in the hospital or receiving treatment. She is an absolutely amazing person, and I do not know how I could exist without her.

​

I own a company called Digitrac Systems that supplies and repairs bar code equipment.  We also afford companies with on-line transaction services as well as furnishing printed materials to parking providers.  My son Alex works for me and handles the finances. In addition I own, with a brilliant partner, Parkonect, a company that manufactures state of the art equipment used in parking lots all over the US and now, recently, in Europe.

The only bad thing that has happened is losing my oldest son Max.  He went to sleep one night and didn't wake up again.  He was 28 years old, and not a day or hour goes by without my heart breaking again.  God, I miss him so much.  Thank God for Sheila and my family.  They got me through it and are there for me whenever I need them. Sheila especially is my rock and anchor.  I love her more than anything in the world.

Speaking of my family, my Mom turned 94 in February.  I finally took the car away from her 3 years ago.  She has hardly slowed down at all.  Still cooks, and, even though we tell her not to, cleans on her hands and knees.  Keep trying to stop her - can't.  My son Alex got married August 18th two years ago to a wonderful girl named, believe it or not, Alex.  They have a home in Crest Hill.

My nephew Sean Giambrone is a Hollywood STAR.  You can see him on Wednesday nights on NBC as Adam Goldberg on "The Goldberg's."  Yes, hard as it is to believe, the kid is actually making it big in Tinsel Town.
