MIKE GIAMBRONE

So, I'm 75 and life is good.  In fact, with the exception of one sad, horrible thing that happened 13 years ago, my life is fantastic.  I have a great partner, Sheila, whom I have had the pleasure of living with for more than 34 years.  I am the owner of a couple of small, but successful businesses.  My health is good and I wake up every day pretty much happy with where I'm at.

Sheila was, until she retired 3 years ago, the CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities.   She was in charge of running an incredible organization that helps more than 6 million children, every year, all over the world, to stay close to their families while they are in the hospital or receiving treatment. She is an absolutely amazing person, and I do not know how I could exist without her.

​

I own a company called Digitrac Systems that supplies software and hardware and repairs for bar code and RFID equipment.  We also afford companies with on-line transaction services as well as furnishing printed materials to parking providers through another company I have called Street and Lot. In addition I founded and sold, Parkonect, a company that manufactures state of the art equipment used in parking lots all over the US and Europe.

The only bad thing that has happened is losing my oldest son Max.  He went to sleep one night and didn't wake up again.  He was 28 years old, and not a day or hour goes by without my heart breaking again.  God, I miss him so much.  Thank God for Sheila and my family.  They got me through it and are there for me whenever I need them. Sheila especially is my rock and anchor.  I love her more than anything in the world.

Speaking of my family, my Mom turns 100 in February 2026.  She has slowed down some, but still has all her marbles.  She lives in Woodland Hills in California with my brother Dave and his wife Vonnie.  My son Alex got married August 18th 10 years ago to a wonderful girl named, believe it or not, Alex.  They have a home in Crest Hill. He owns a really great record store in Plainfield, Illinois called Paul Rose Records. If you're into vinyl, this is a place you need to visit. He has more than 50,000 records.

 

My nephew Sean Giambrone is a Hollywood STAR.  For ten years, he was on Wednesday nights on ABC as Adam Goldberg on "The Goldberg's."  Yes, hard as it is to believe, the kid is actually making it big in Tinsel Town.
